British Ecological Centenary 2013
The British Ecological Society will be celebrating its centenary in 2013. There will be lots of ways to get involved, below are some of the activities we have already developed together with a hint of what's to come! Please check back as the plans develop.

- A range of new cross disciplinary meetings on a range of ecological topics to be held across the UK during Spring 2013;
- Educational wall charts and associated competitions;
- A number of scientific policy initiatives
- A major project celebrating 100 years of scientific publishing focussing on the Society's journals.
INTECOL 2013
From 18-23 August 2013, the 11th INTECOL Congress, Ecology: Into the next 100 years will be held in London as part of the centenary celebrations of the British Ecological Society. The theme of the Congress is advancing ecology and making it count, and will present world class ecological science that will truly move the science forward. Festival of Ecology
From 15 June - 4 August 2013 we are organising a nationwide public festival celebrating the science of ecology. Below are the current partners we are working with, full details of the activities will be available at the end of the year.
But we're not stopping there! We're also producing an on line virtual festival featuring the sights and sounds of walks through different habitats, ecologist video diaries, videos, podcasts, activities to try, experiments and much more.
