Ecological Project Compendium
The EPC is an innovative online resource for lecturers and others teaching ecology in Higher Education. Click here to view the projects currently available. The EPC is still accepting contributions of successful practical exercises in ecology ranging from examples of student-centred learning and project case studies to more lecturer-directed activities and effective strategies for dealing with large student groups. You do not need to be a member of the BES to make a contribution to this new resource.
The teaching of ecology in universities has traditionally comprised a wide variety of methods that encourage students to observe, experiment and model. The Ecological Project Compendium aims to identify and share examples of good practice that promote originality, creativity and effectiveness in the practical component of undergraduate studies in ecology. Each article submitted will be peer reviewed for the quality of the science and the pedagogic approach. Although authorship will be fully acknowledged, copyright of the published work will rest with the British Ecological Society.
Submissions should be sent by e-mail to the Managing Editor, preferably in a standard format. Instructions for authors provides guidance on submitting contributions.
