Abstract Submission Information
Annual Meeting
10 - 12 September 2007
University of Glasgow

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CLOSED ON SUNDAY 22 APRIL

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The BES now receives more abstracts than we can fit into the Programme which, unfortunately, means some abstracts have to be rejected. To cut down on the number of cancelled submissions and maximise the number of people able to present research, we will insist that those submitting abstracts must complete a booking form with full payment by Friday 18 May. Online booking will be available in March 2007. A PDF version of the booking form will also available on the website.

On Friday 4 May, all those who have submitted will be told if their abstract has been accepted into the provisional Programme. Everyone who has been accepted MUST complete a booking form and pay for the Meeting by Friday 18 May.

IF YOU SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT FOR THE MEETING BUT DO NOT BOOK BY FRIDAY 18 MAY, YOUR ABSTRACT WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROGRAMME.

The abstract length is 50 words maximum. Submitters with abstracts over this limit will be asked to edit their text or have it reduced by BES staff.

On Tuesday 5 June, the final Programme will be available on the BES website and contributors will be advised of their final slot.

An outline of the Meeting Programme will be published in the August issue of the BES Bulletin that is sent to all BES members.  The full Programme will also be available on the BES website by July.

Non-members can join the BES at the same time as they complete their booking form and thus pay the reduced rate. Students who are members of the BES are eligible for a substantial discount on the cost of standard accommodation, meals and registration. For MAC users: some people have had difficulty submitting abstracts when using SAFARI, but switching to FIREFOX has solved the problem.
