Affiliated OrganisationsThe BES is a member or affiliated with the following organisations. Biosciences Federation (BSF): The BSF is an umbrella organisation to promote dialogue between bioscientist and provide opinion and information on public policy formation. The BES has representatives on their Environmental Sustainability Committee. Institute of Biology (IoB): The IoB is the professional organisation for UK biologists. The BES is an affiliated society of the IoB. The BES has representatives on the IoB's Agricultural Sciences and Environmental Committees. The Parliamentary and Scientific Commmittee: The Committee is a parliamentary group that acts as liaison between Parliament and the scientific world. Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE): CaSE, formerly Save British Science, is a pressure group with the aim of improving the scientific health of the UK. UK Biodiversity Research Advisory Group (UK BRAG): UK BRAG is the UK's the national biodiversity research platform. International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN): The IUCN is made up of government agencies and NGOs to promote sound ecosystem management. UK Overseas Territories Conservation Forum: The Forum provides local organisations in UK overseas territories with support and advice to conserve their own environmental resources.
