Marine Environment

Background

The marine environment is biologically diverse and provides a range of ecosystem services, such as food, tourism and energy.  The UK Government is in the process of creating a new legislative framework to govern its seas through a Marine Bill.  The BES will be responding to policy developments in this area and providing expert advice to Parliament on relevant areas of the Bill.
