Teaching Ecology Newsletter
The Teaching Ecology Newsletter (TEN) was produced between 1988 and 2008. Whilst the newsletter is no longer produced as a hard copy we will continue to produce relevant articles of interest to anyone involved in the teaching of ecology.

TEN Issue 37: the final issue of the newsletter, published winter 2008. Celebrates 20 years of the newsletter, highlights changes within BES education and includes articles on biofuels and the illegal wildlife trade.
TEN Issue 36: this issue introduces the pond wallchart, and focuses on HIV and biodiversity, as well as environmental education, sustainable development and ecology.
TEN Issue 35: the spring 2007 issue looks at how fieldwork could be used to teach the basis of scientific evidence in the 14-16 curriculum, and the potential for teaching speciation at A-level.
TEN Issue 34: the Government’s Learning Outside the Classroom manifesto is explained and assessed, and undergraduate ecology teaching, including alternative approaches to examining ecological knowledge, is discussed.
TEN Issue 33: this issue outlines the 100 ecological questions of high policy relevance, focuses on the environmental jobs sector and indicators of success, and provides wetlands teaching resources.
TEN Issue 32: ideas for teaching in school playgrounds are outlined in this issue, along with an assessment of the teaching of fungi classification in schools.
