Hedges

In collaboration with Hedgelink, the BES has recently published its second wall chart in the series ” Developing School Grounds for Science”.

Hedges form one of the most widespread wildlife habitats in the UK, home to both common and rare species and offers schools many opportunities for practical ecology in a terrestrial environment.

This wallchart and associated online materials provide teachers and their students with a good introduction to the importance of hedges and their plant and animal inhabitants.

The hedges wallchart is available to download, or a copy can be requested here.
