The BES aims to support teachers and lecturers delivering ecological content in school and higher education.

Grants

The BES offers a range of education grants for schools, teachers and in cases external organisations to develop outdoor learning opportunities for young people

Training

The BES has worked in collaboration with the Science Learning Centres to develop a range of professional development courses available online.

Current units include, Earthworms, Freshwater invertebrates, Native trees, Common playing field plants, Snails and slugs andWoodlice.

Advice and Support

The BES Education Officer is available to offer One to One advice and support to schools looking to develop their school grounds for teaching science and where appropriate is happy to address groups of teachers.
