Introduction

The BES is excited to hold its 2012 Annual Meeting in Birmingham, Edgbaston campus; it will be the first Winter meeting in almost a decade. We are still working on initiatives and extra events, but here is a PROVISIONAL OUTLINE of the BES 2012 Annual Meeting.

TALK AND POSTER INFORMATION

TALKS
Unless otherwise stated, your talk will be for 15 (fifteen) minutes; we suggest you speak for 13 and leave two for questions. Talks should be uploaded as soon as possible in Arts Building Room 201. Student helpers will be on hand to assist. The medium for presentations will be Microsoft Powerpoint or Adobe PDF. Mac users preparing Powerpoint presentations are advised to check their talk on a Windows version. Delegates will not be permitted to run presentations from their own computers.

POSTERS
Poster boards are A0 PORTRAIT; Velcro with which to affix your poster will be available onsite. Your poster board will be marked with your abstract number and can be found in the Avon Room. Posters should be displayed from the start of the meeting and removed by 11.30am on 20 December. The Poster Session will take place at 17.15 – 18.45 on Wednesday 19 December; we encourage you to be at your board during this time to promote your work.
