2009 ISIŽ Impact FactorŽ - The BES Journals are now in the top 20% in the Ecology category

All four British Ecological Society journals are now in the top 20% of the ISIŽ Ecology category, ranked by Impact FactorŽ.

  • Journal of Applied Ecology has an ISIŽ Impact FactorŽ for 2009 of 4.197
  • Journal of Ecology has an ISIŽ Impact FactorŽ for 2009 of 4.690
  • Journal of Animal Ecology has an ISIŽ Impact FactorŽ for 2009 of 3.714
  • Functional Ecology has an ISIŽ Impact FactorŽ for 2009 of 4.546

All of the journals have seen an increase in their ISIŽ 5 year Impact FactorŽ.

MEE-1-1. (Copyright: A cover image from Methods in Ecology and Evolution, Publications)The BES is pleased to launch a new online journal Methods in Ecology and Evolution (MEE). From 2010, MEE will be the new home for methods papers across ecology and evolutionary biology.

Rob Freckleton, Editor in Chief, and the editorial board are delighted to announce that Lord May of Oxford has agreed to have the Young Investigator's Prize named after him. The Robert M. May prize will be awarded annually to an outstanding young author publishing in Methods in Ecology and Evolution.
