Everyone wishing to attend the meeting must complete a booking form and pay in full, otherwise it will not be processed. Early Bird and Regular Registrations include the cost of the Conference Dinner held on Wednesday 27 June.

GUIDANCE NOTES

Everyone who wishes to attend the meeting, including speakers and oral or poster presenters, must register. No bookings will be processed without full payment. There are no refunds for booking cancellations.

The scientific programme will start at 13.00 on Tuesday 26 June (following an optional fieldtrip to Llyn Peninsula) and finish at 12.10 on Thursday 28 June (followed by optional fieldtrips, all of which will return to Bangor for 15.45).

REGISTRATION:

To reflect the current economic climate, the Society has worked hard to keep costs as affordable as possible. Book online by 12 March 2012 for significant discounts:

Earlybird Registration: £50 BES Members, £25 BES Student Members, £60 Non-Members

Deadline: 12 March (online only)

Regular Registration: £65 BES Members, £33 BES Student Members, £80 Non-Members

Deadline: 24 May

Day Registration: £65 BES Members, £33 BES Student Members, £80 Non Members (excludes Conference Dinner)

Day Registration will be available during the meeting at Bangor University though, at that stage, it will not be possible to book meals or accommodation.

BES Membership costs from £40 for ordinary members or £20 for students, retired and for people from reduced rate countries. Benefits include discounted registration fees to all BES events, subsidised Journal subscriptions, member-only grants, access to the members area of the website as well as significant reductions from leading scientific publishers. Membership application is available from: www.BritishEcologicalSociety.org.

Delegates joining the BES at the same time as booking will be eligible for the discounted Members' registration rate.

Do not rely on your Finance Office to forward your booking form to the BES; please confirm with them that both payment and booking form have been sent.

We endeavour to process booking submissions within two weeks of receipt. A letter of confirmation and travel details will be emailed to you; if you have not heard from us within this time, check your 'Junk' or 'Spam' folder and then contact us immediately. Check your confirmation letter carefully and keep a copy of the completed form for your records; if you have any amendments, please contact us immediately. Please send your booking form by one method only.

MEALS & ACCOMMODATION:

Breakfast is included in the price of accommodation. Ensuite rooms (bed and shower) are in Bangor University halls of residence and are limited and allocated in order of booking receipt. Lunch will be bagged and include a sandwich, soft drink, crisps and fruit. The Wednesday Conference Dinner is included in the price of registration (except day registration) and includes half a bottle of wine.

STUDENT SUPPORT:

BES Student Members are eligible for the reduced registration fee and a 50% discount on catering and accommodation that are booked directly through the BES. Only BES Student Members are eligible for this preferential rate.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:

Deadline for poster and oral abstract submission: 15 February 2012. If you submit an abstract, you must complete a booking form by 12 March 2012; failure to do so will result in the removal of your presentation.
