Affiliated Organisations

The BES is a member or affiliated with the following organisations.

Society of Biology: The Society of Biology was formed in October 2009; the result of a union between the Institute of Biology and the Biosciences Federation. The Society aims to champion the study and development of biology, and provide expert guidance and opinion to Government and others.

The Parliamentary and Scientific Committee: The Committee is a parliamentary group that forms acts as a liaison between Parliament and the scientific community.

Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE): CaSE, formerly Save British Science, is a pressure group with the aim of improving the scientific health of the UK.

UK Biodiversity Research Advisory Group (UK BRAG): UK BRAG is the UK's the national biodiversity research platform.

International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN): The IUCN is made up of government agencies and NGOs to promote sound ecosystem management.

UK Overseas Territories Conservation Forum: The Forum provides local organisations in UK overseas territories with support and advice to conserve their own environmental resources.
