The BES's Public and Policy Committee works with the Science Policy Team and the Press Officer to communicate ecological science to parliamentarians, policy makers and members of the media.
Informing Policy and the Media
The BES serves as an important link between policymakers, the media and the ecological community. The Society independently and with affiliated organisations works to inform policymakers and journalists in order to promote ecological science and its use. The BES focusses on the following policy priorities: ecosystem services; climate change; marine environment; research funding and scientific advice.
Supporting Policy and Public Engagement
