Abstract

The seasonal pattern of soil heat-flux was dominated by the increase in crop cover. The average minimum daytime downward flux into the ridge was 40 cal. cm-2 when the crop was two months old, in the furrow the average minimum value was 60 cal. cm-2 when the crop was 30.5 months old.
