The ecology of Cacao viruses. I. The role of wild hosts in the incidence of swollen shoot virus in West Africa.
Abstract
Describes the host range of Cacao swollen-shoot virus (CSSV) and the distribution of wild hosts. No consistent association has so far been found between infected wild hosts and the incidence of the disease in Cacao. The possibility is suggested that CSSV originated in the New World.
