Abstract

In the presence of certain phyllosphere bacteria, aqueous washings of the foliage of Camelina sativa contained allelopathic chemicals. Investigations into the nature of the chemicals and their precursors and the role of bacteria in the production of the chemicals are reported. Benzylamine was identified as one of the chemicals influencing the relationship between C. sativa and Linum usitatissimum. See also WA 30, 2509. From summary.
