Abstract

This paper describes the evidences in conservation teaching initiative. The paper presents an introduction to translocation for conservation, its definition and types; current use, reasons and practices of translocations for conservation; guidelines by region, taxonomic group and type of translocation; key principles of translocation; use of existing evidence, experience of professionals in conservation, case studies, experimentation and tests, systematic reviews, and goal analysis; conservation and testing translocation in real world, plants and animals monitoring; adaptive management and definition of success in translocation; and a conclusion.
