Abstract

This report presents a vegetation survey conducted at Trenowin Downs, Tonkin Downs, Gulval Downs and Noon Diggery (part) / Site 51 (part) in Cornwall. The survey areas support mosaics of lowland heathland, lowland dry acid grassland, improved and semi-improved grassland and scrub/underscrub habitats. The vegetation include Ulex gallii - Agrostis curtisii heath, Calluna vulgaris - Ulex gallii heath, Erica tetralix - Sphagnum compactum wet heath, Festuca ovina-Agrostis capillaris-Galium saxatile grassland, Pteridium aquilinum - Rubus fruticosus underscrub, Pteridium aquilinum - Rubus fruticosus underscrub / OV27 Epilobium angustifolium community intermediate / transitional vegetation, Lolium perenne - Cynosurus cristatus grassland, Anthoxanthum oderatum subcommunity.
