Video production for social media training
This one-day practical training workshop will cover an introduction to filming, audio recording, and editing videos to communicate your science.

The workshop will be focused primarily on using smartphones and free editing software to produce science communication videos. The day will cover the theory of the types and purposes of social media communications, storyboard and narrative creation, and techniques for producing high quality video and sound recordings on basic equipment.
The workshop will be beneficial to those with entry level to intermediate experience in digital production.
Led by Dr Amy Hong (University College London / Freelance Digital Producer) who has an extensive biological research background and years of experience as a cinematographer and digital producer. All participants will have the chance to produce short videos by the end of the workshop!

To secure your place you must register before 18:00 (BST) 23 April 2019.
Attendance is limited to 20 individuals. Please contact Chris Jeffs if you have any specific dietary requirements (inc. allergies), access considerations or if you may require financial assistance to attend.
The training will be within the UCL Engineering Front Building, a short 10-minute walk from Euston Rail Station and a 20-minute walk from King’s Cross/ London St Pancras Stations.
