Accommodation

Liverpool is a popular destination city whose hotels fill up quickly, so we highly recommend you secure your accommodation and make your travel plans as early as possible.

We are pleased to be working with Liverpool Convention Bureau who are providing a free booking service. This is a flexible service that allows you to book accommodation to suit your needs and budget. Special rates have been negotiated at a number of accommodation options close to the conference venue.

If you wish to make a group booking (10+ rooms), or you are experiencing any difficulties, please contact the Liverpool Convention Bureau team at: accommodation@marketingliverpool.co.uk

Check the terms and conditions prior to booking.

Accommodation booking

You are not obliged to use this booking service. If you would prefer to book directly, we recommend you browse through the many accommodation options available in Liverpool using Booking.com or Hostel World. There are also many Airbnb options within the city.

Please note: It is a common scam that delegates have been contacted by people claiming to be official providers of accommodation for large events, chasing to make hotel bookings. If this happens to you, do not give any personal or credit card details over the phone. Do ask for the company name and contact details of the company who has called you and email them to events@britishecologicalsociety.org

Accessibility

ACC Liverpool is a fully accessible venue. There is a lift to conference rooms and halls. The auditorium in the convention centre features 33 accessible seats, with accompanying bays for a personal assistant. There are accessible toilets on all floors.

Hearing induction loops are available and assistance dogs are welcome.

Please do let us know of any access requirements when you register for the Annual Meeting.

For more details information, take a look at the guide provided by the venue –

ACC LIVERPOOL ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE

Families

We strive to ensure our meetings are as inclusive as possible and want to encourage families to attend the Annual Meeting. We have following concessionary rates available for those attending with a family.

Accompanying Person

If you are attending the meeting and have a partner, or other accompanying person who does not wish to attend the scientific programme but would like to come along to the social programme, this rate covers all lunches, coffee breaks, poster sessions and the welcome mixer.

Family Registration

If you are coming along to the meeting with children and both parents/carers wish to attend the scientific programme, we understand that half of your time as a parent will be looking after your child so offer a discounted registration rate for both carers. Similarly, if you are attending as a single carer and will be looking after your child for part of the time, you can register at this rate.

Facilities

The conference centre welcomes buggies and offers baby changing facilities. Breastfeeding will, of course, be welcome anywhere at the conference venue. However, there will also be a family room available should you wish for some quiet time with your child. No childcare will be available on-site however you are able to book short term childcare with external providers such as Little Explorers. For more details on location, prices and provision please go to Liverpool Family Information & SEND Directory | Little Explorers Day Nursery. We advise booking as early as possible.

If you have any accessibility considerations that you would like to speak with us about to ensure we can support you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at events@britishecoogicalsociety.org.
