Registration for the core event in Bergen, Norway, is now open!

Registration is now open!

Please note the main meeting takes place in Bergen, Norway. There will then be a web-linked debate with Perth, Scotland, that you are also able to take part in. Please make sure you register for the correct part of the meeting.

Earlybird Registration

Earlybird registration will open at the beginning of July. The earlybird deadline is 17:00 (BST), Friday 3 August.

Pre-Meeting Workshop & Walking Tour

For those of you arriving on Sunday, we have organised a guided tour of Bergen. More details can be found on the Tours and Site Visit page. This can be added to your booking for £10.

After the walking tour, we will be holding an evening pre-conference workshop on publishing on Sunday 2 September from 18:30 – 20:30. This workshop will focus on the current publishing system as seen from the publisher’s perspective with advice for young researchers This can be added to your booking for £15.

Conference Dinner

We will be inviting you to join us at our Symposium Dinner at The Grand, a unique historical building in the heart of Bergen. This informal dinner will include a buffet dinner with drinks in a beautiful building. This will be at an additional cost of £60 and will need to be added to your registration when you book.

Post Conference Site Visit

We will be offering two exciting post conference site visits relevant to ecology and the themes of the conference. One will take you on the infamous Bergen – Oslo railway to explore the dynamics of both the present and the past treeline and the second will take you by boat to the beautifully located on the heathlands at Lygra. These need to be added to your booking.

Accommodation is to be booked by delegates independently. Please see recommendations here.

Cancellation

All registration cancellations are subject to a £50 administration fee.

If cancellation is received before 17:00 (BST), Friday 10 August, full registration (less £50 admin fee) will be given, and 50% refund on the conference dinner and pre-pay workshops.

If Cancellation is received after 17:00 (BST), Friday 10 August, but before 17:00 (BST), Wednesday 22 August, 50% of registration will be refunded, a £50 admin fee will be charged, and 50% refund on the conference dinner and pre-pay workshops.

No refunds will be given after 17:00 (BST) Wednesday 22 August.
