Apply now – Free public engagement training with Science Made Simple, 26 November 2018

Location: Great North Museum: Hancock, Newcastle upon Tyne
Date: Mon 26 November 13:00 – 18:00 GMT

Hosted at the Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle, we are providing a free public engagement training workshop for BES members in developing live science demonstrations, presenting skills, and performance techniques.

Ideal for hands-on public engagement at events and other live formats, you will learn essential tips-and-tricks and then develop your own ideas for activities with one-on-one expert advice.

The training will be provided by Science Made Simple, specialists with over 15 years of experience connecting researchers and the public. Attendees are encouraged to develop their activity ideas further with the BES after the training workshop for opportunities to deliver them at the Great North Museum: Hancock and BES public engagement events in future.

This training workshop is free to attend, and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Attendees will need to cover their own travel expenses, but please contact Chris chrisj@britishecologicalsociety.org if you may require financial assistance.

There are only 15 spaces available for this workshop, which will be awarded on a first come first served basis pending application approval by BES staff. The BES will directly notify you via email regarding the outcome of your application. This may take 1 – 2 working days.
