Maintaining Mental Health, Support for Early Careers
10th June 2020- 12.00-13.00pm
For all early career ecologists, researchers and students this webinar is for everyone who is concerned about the impact the current situtaion will have on their immediate and intermediate plans. Fieldwork and lab time has been cut short, others are able to keep working but within limits and reduced social contact. Maybe a sense of isolation is setting in. This webinar is for everyone who is finding it a little harder than usual to maintain their mental health, their motivation and manage the work that needs to be done or may be struggling with being alone.
We’ll consider hints and strategies that you can employ now and over the next few months and provide a space to come and chat through your experiences, meet others who feel the same and share helpful ideas.
If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can participate using a nickname so that no one needs to know who you are and we won’t keep a record of who attends.
Maintaining Mental Health over the coming months.
We’ve been overwhelmed with requests to join our Mental Health webinars. Rather than host bigger and bigger events, we feel smaller and more frequent events allow everyone to talk/chatbox type, ask their questons and be heard, so with that in mind, please do save the following dates in your diary.
This event will be hosted every two weeks for the duration of the lock down, usually on wednesday 12.00-13.00pm. Each week there will be different panelists sharing their experiences.
All events are limted to 30 people, everyone is welcome to attend once, twice as often as you feel is helpful and the focus is providing a network and platform to share experiences, what is and isn’t working and share new ideas.
Additional Dates: Registration for each event will go live on the Friday before each event is due to take place.
24th June 12.00-13.00 – registration opens 9.00 Friday 19th June
Please do contact Karen Devine if you would like to be directly notified via email once registration opens.
