Public Engagement Award
Recognising the outstanding role members have played in the delivery of the Society’s public engagement programme.
The public engagement award recognises students and Early Career Researchers, who have made an outstanding contribution to the delivery of the Society’s public engagement programme. These are members who have contributed to the programme, above and beyond our expectations, and have shown leadership in the delivery of training and activities.
The Prize complements those given to members at the beginning of their career (Best Paper by an Early Career Ecologist, Founders’ Prize, Anne Keymer and Poster Prizes) and those given to senior ecologists (Ecological Engagement Award).
The award is given as an honorarium of £500 and presented at our Annual Meeting.
The 2017 prize winner is:
Arron Watson, University of Reading
The 2016 prize winners are:
Dr Ali Birkett, Lancaster University
Nick Loughlin, Open University
Victoria Burton, Natural History Museum/Imperial College
