Annual Report 2018: Breitenhof Agroscope Stone Fruit Centre.
Abstract
This publication presents the annual report for 2018 of the Agroscope Stone Fruit Centre at Breitenhof, Swizerland, including the review of the Advisory Council; the cherry project of the Central Swiss Cantons; reports and publications on attempts in the advisory portfolio (including replica cherries, demo fruit plant, organic plum variety with and without weather protection, automatic cutting of cherries, preventive measures to control Pseudomonas in cherries and herbicide-free tree stalk care in stone fruit growing). Further reports from the research activities at the Stone Fruit Centre including the efficiency of fire blight management by combining pesticide strategy with robust varieties, low-residue fruit production, and some news from the cherry variety testing.
