Stakeholder questionnaire from the Grouse Moor Management Group: a response from the British Ecological Society Scottish Policy Group to the stakeholder questionnaire.
Abstract
This paper presents the response of the British Ecological Society Scottish Policy Group to the stakeholder questionnaire from the Grouse Moor Management Group addressing 17 questions on the following topics: (i) raptor conservation and predation management; (ii) muirburn; and (iii) mountain hares. The approach of the BES Scottish Policy Group is in line with the BES position: to make the best scientific evidence accessible to decision-makers and is based on the expertise of the membership. As such, the Group has responded to questions where the answers can be supported by evidence.
