Inventory of leaf miners and midge galls of Mary Mix McDonald Woods and other sites in Northeastern Illinois, USA.
Abstract
This inventory compiles 214 records of leaf miners and midge galls observed by James Steffen in Mary Mix McDonald Woods, Glencoe, Illinois, USA, and other plant communities in Northeastern Illinois from 2020-22. Observations have been identified to genus (and species, when possible) and are provided along with the species of plant host, plant host family, location, and type (leaf miner or midge gall). Hyperlinks to observations on iNaturalist are also provided for >200 observations.
