BES Grant Report: Wild Soundscape Research.
Abstract
This report documents a research project aimed at understanding changes in wild soundscapes over time and developing a qualitative methodology for analyzing these changes, with a focus on the Bernie Krause Natural Sound Archive and the Nature Sound Society Archive. The overarching objectives were to detect, interpret, and demonstrate how wild soundscapes in selected recordings from 2002 to 2022 have changed, as well as to establish a new qualitative methodology for soundscape ecology.
