Abstract

This narrative review discusses the interconnectedness of nature and human health and well-being, highlighting nature's crucial role in providing essential resources and supporting mental and physical health in UK. The review acknowledges the increasing recognition of nature's significance across sectors and governmental initiatives, such as green social prescribing and incorporating natural environments in educational strategies. By summarizing current evidence and identifying knowledge gaps, the review aims to inform health systems, structures, and research development, ultimately fostering a collaborative approach to enhancing health and nature, which will benefit both people and the environment while providing good value for money and resources.
