Abstract
This paper describes scientific based evidence in conservation. Topics covered include the importance of scientific evidence, its use in nature conservation, barriers to using scientific evidence in nature conservation and how to overcome these obstacles. Also, synthesis of evidence, systematic reviews, systematic maps, decision-making tools and challenges of evidence synthesis are also presented.
