What membership grade is right for me?

  • Ordinary Membership costs £42 per annum*, and is open to all *if you are unable to pay by direct debit and do not have access to a UK bank account, the annual subscription costs £52 per annum.

The following add-on’s are also available for all membership types in addition to your membership fee:

  • Print version of Journal of Ecology for £35 per annum (£17.50 for students)
  • Access to our journals pre-1998 via JSTOR for £9 per annum

Concessions:

  • Reduced Membership costs £21 per annum*, and is open to anyone who is a resident in a low or lower-middle income country as classified by the World Bank.
    *If you’re unable to pay by direct debit and do not have access to a UK bank account, the annual subscription costs £26 per annum.
  • Retired Membership costs £21 per annum*, and is open to anyone aged over 65 and retired from full-time employment.

Students:

UK Student Membership is free for one year, for anyone studying an ecology or ecology-related Undergraduate or Master’s degree or if they are in the first year of their PhD. You must be registered to a UK bank account. Membership costs the normal student rate thereafter, which is £21 per annum*.
