BES2023: Bus and tram strikes update
The bus and tram strikes planned for 15 and 16 December are very likely still going ahead. You should not rely on public transport to take you to the airports or ferry terminal.
We strongly recommend booking a cab in advance and have organised a very basic system to help you buddy up with people for cab sharing. Please read this carefully:
- If you have already booked and have extra space in your cab, please leave the details at the information desk in the Riverside Foyer. Please book a cab BEFORE adding your name to the list.
- If you are looking for a cab, have a look at the list in the Riverside Foyer and put your name down for any spare seats in one of the columns provided. It will then be up to you to message the booker on Whova to organise where to meet and how to split the cost.
Once you have made your connections, it is your responsibility to maintain contact with your group and ensure that you are in the right place at the right time for pick up. The BES can’t act as a facilitator on your behalf and the team will not be able to book cabs on your behalf.
Visit Belfast have recommended the following taxi companies, other local companies are available:
- Value Cabs – 028 9080 9080
- fonaCAB – 028 90 333 333
A taxi marshal will be present on the other side of the ICC building at the Stage Door entrance in the afternoon tomorrow Friday 15 December.
