Biodiversity Project Officer at Middlemarch Environmental (Coventry, UK)

I work for a Wildlife Trust Ecological Consultancy (Warwickshire Wildlife Trust). My role is varied but I support projects that focus on maximising the biodiversity value of sites across the UK.

Having studied BSc Hons Animal Behaviour/Wildlife Biology at Manchester Metropolitan University and MSc. Conservation Management at Edge Hill University, I am particularly interested in specialist species, climate resilience towards highly urbanised areas using nature-based solutions and climate justice.

I started my role at Middlemarch earlier this year just after working at City of Trees (Community Forest Trust for Greater Manchester).

I have spent time as a placement student for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust at Brockholes Nature Reserve, alongside volunteering for other organisations such as Better Century (social media platform for environmental awareness and climate change) and Plover Rovers (a marine charity that specialises in raising awareness of ‘Ocean Literacy’).

I am currently a member of the REED Ecological Network. I joined the network for opportunities, professional skills/career development, networking and finding out more about how I can support encouraging representation within the UK environmental sector.
