MEE Live! Some treats in R: easily simulating any type of trees and traits

Basically you can simulate a tree depending on the traits of the tip taxa, or not, or something else!

You can also add events to your simulations that can modify either the tree, the traits or both (or the way they influence each other). This can be useful for simulating mass extinctions, species competition, traitspace saturation or whatever you can think of.

During this workshop, we’ll go through the core functions of treats and the associated extended online manual.
It will also cover designing a more complex simulation scenario following your suggestions and then see how to share it on github so that other workers can use it!

We hope by the end of the workshop you’ll have a nice overview of how you can use treats for your research or teaching projects!
