BES Quantitative Ecology 2018
The BES Quantitative Ecology SIG is holding its first one day conference and Annual Meeting in 2018.
The first one day conference of our Quantitative SIG will be held on Monday 9 July. It will be sandwiched between the International Statistical Ecology Conference (2-6 July), and the BES Macroecology Conference 2018 (10-11 July) at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
The day will be made up of keynote speakers (Professor Jane Reid, University of Aberdeen, plus one more TBC), a student plenary, lightning talks, posters and discussions.
Talks & Posters
Do you have research to present using quantitative methods? Or a new method or software to showcase? Then why not submit an abstract! Talks will be 5 minutes long and abstract submission is via the registration page (see link below). There may not be enough talk slots for everyone, so priority will be given to early career researchers.
Please include a rough title when you register so we have an idea of the balance of topics (you can change this later). Students will also be given the option to put themselves forward for the student plenary talk (20 minutes). We highly recommend applying; it’s fun and a great thing to put on your CV.
The deadline for registration is Friday, 11 May 2018 (11:59 GMT). We will contact attendees after this to confirm talk slots.
For any questions, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
