Science Slam

We are thrilled to be hosting the BES Science Slam On Monday 12 December.
A Science Slam is a competition that combines entertainment and science. We will be inviting six ecologists to present their ecological research to a diverse audience in a fun, entertaining and engaging way. Fun and creativity will be key elements of the winning performance.
Cinema screening

We will be hosting a cinema screening at one of Liverpool’s most prestigious picture houses. Screening a film about parasites, the event will feature a short talk from a world-class scientist that works with parasites and pathogens. Find out how realistic the film is and a little more about the ecology parasites and pathogens.

To celebrate the breadth of microbial evolution and ecology at the BES2016, the University of Liverpool is bringing together researchers from across the University with speakers and hosts from key symposia for a morning of talks and discussions spanning microbe-host interactions, microbial ecology, genomics and more. Free to attend.
